St Kilda: Mapping a future from the past
This is a small pop up exhibition that celebrates the completion of RCAHMS partnership project with the NTS to map the archaeological remains of the St Kilda island group. The exhibition is image based with minimal text, and the introductory text is in both English and Gaelic. Nine of the twelve panels belong to one dramatic image of Hirta, the main island of the archipelago. There is also a panel showing an extract of our survey data draped over an ortho-rectified aerial photograph and a panel that is a montage of cleits and field survey recording.
